Apple fined €1.8 billion for abuse of dominance in streaming apps

The European Commission has fined Apple €1.8 billion because its App Store rules - in particular, anti-steering provisions - constitute an abuse of dominance. The Commission found that Apple applied restrictions on app developers preventing them from informing iOS users about alternative (and cheaper) external music subscription services.
