New rules requiring mediation for small claims
New rules requiring mediation will see more small claims resolved faster and away from court, according to HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS). The new rules mean parties in money claims up to the value of £10,000 must take part in a free one-hour mediation appointment, provided by HMCTS’ Small Claims Mediation Service.
