The Globe Danae: always, not forever
The High Court has upheld a final arbitration award, which awarded as a debt the time used to clean a vessel's hull and propeller at the hire rate after her redelivery under a time charter trip consisting of one laden leg, holding that the owners were not confined to a claim in damages, which would have obliged proof of an actual loss of time in the vessel's use (which on the material facts did not appear to have occurred).
