Defence of no contract prevents enforcement of adjudicator’s decision

Dacy Building Services Ltd v IDM Properties LLP [2016] EWHC 3007 (TCC), 25 November 2016

The claimant sought to enforce the decision of an adjudicator, but the defendant resisted enforcement on the ground that the parties had not entered into a contractual relationship, with the consequence that the adjudicator did not have jurisdiction over the dispute. The decision of Jefford J considered three interesting issues.
