IASB concludes Agenda Consultation

The stakeholder feedback process has been ongoing since August 2015 and the IASB has now released the conclusions from its Agenda Consultation and its ‘to-do list’ for the next five years. The work plan takes the Board through until 2021 and a central theme is ‘better communication’ within financial statements. This is to be achieved by adopting a fresh approach to how financial information is presented and grouped, enhancing disclosures (including the completion of the Disclosure Initiative, which began following the previous agenda consultation) and promoting electronic reporting through the IFRS Taxonomy.
