Sir David Tweedie, once Chairman of the IASB, frequently said, ‘One of my great ambitions before I die is to fly in an aircraft that is on an airline’s balance sheet.’ He may finally see his wish fulfilled, thanks to a recent rule change enacted by both the FASB and the IASB.
