Plain dealing

Recently I was working for a client in a Mayfair, a very upmarket part of London, writes Sue Grossey. During my lunch breaks I would wander out to see the sights, and couldn’t help but notice the enormous number of very, very expensive shops. In this neighbourhood, you could easily spend a hundred thousand pounds on a piece of art or jewellery or, if you were watching the pennies, perhaps a tenth of that on a handbag or a pair of shoes. I went into a couple of these places, which were staffed by women several feet taller and several stone lighter than I am, who are trained to sniff out money and soon spotted me for the time-waster I was. What they didn’t know is that I was doing some research, for these are our high value dealers.
