MOREAU TO LEAVE AXA FRANCE AFTER SIX YEARS IN CHARGE

Nicolas Moreau, Axa France chief executive, is to step down, the French insurance giant announced yesterday. The insurer said a replacement for Moreau, who will leave the group on June 30, 2016, would be announced shortly. The news of Moreau’s departure comes shortly after it was announced that former Axa Germany chief Thomas Buberl would succeed Henri de Castries as chief executive. Moreau has led Axa’s operation in France since 2010. He also oversees Axa Global Direct and Axa Partners. Moreau's previous roles at the group have included leading Axa Investment Managers and the insurer’s UK and Ireland business.
