KNIPPER AND COLOMBERA JOIN EVEREST RE

Everest Re has appointed Stephan Knipper as managing director for continental Europe. Knipper will be based in Zurich, and most recently served as chief executive of Axis Re Europe. He has been with Axis since 2003, having previously served as a member of the board of Gerling Global Re, in addition to holding executive director positions for various Gerling subsidiaries. In addition, Everest Re has appointed Christian Colombera as head of financial lines for Everest syndicate 2786. He has joined from Zurich Insurance Group, where he served as global underwriting manager for financial lines.
