Crash for cash

A fraudulent “crash-for-cash” scheme run by a gang of 60 people, which involved faking accidents and making fraudulent claims for whiplash injuries, has extracted so much money that insurance companies were forced to raise the insurance premiums bills of people living in the area by around £100 a year.
