Carlos Trujillo of Uhthoff, Gomez Vega & Uhthoff examines the special conditions that protect photographic works in Mexico

Photography, the method to place images on a sensitive material by the action of light, was once a highly skilled process requiring a high level of human skill to obtain the desired results. The easiest part of the process was to snap the camera shutter. Thereafter, the technical processes to hand-make a lasting image required all the inventiveness and talent of the photographer.
