Combined transport and through bills of lading

(A) Introduction

Scope of this chapter

12.1 This chapter considers the problems peculiar to those bills issued for carriage other than the traditional port-to-port shipment.1 The terminology associated with such carriage and associated documentation is discussed below. The abbreviation MSB (multi-stage bill) will be used, despite its limitations, as a generic expression to describe such documentation.
