EVEREST INSURANCE NAMES NIKODEM TO LEAD NEW US PROPERTY OPERATION

The Everest Insurance unit of Bermuda’s Everest Re Group has named Erik Nikodem as the leader of its newly established US property division to oversee its excess & surplus lines, retail property and inland marine operations. Nikodem joins from AIG, where he most recently served as president and global property executive for the Americas, overseeing commercial and energy property businesses. He previously managed North American facultative reinsurance as senior vice-president at Aon Benfield in Bermuda. “Erik is a proven leader and outstanding technician within the property market,” said Jonathan Zaffino, president of Everest Insurance North America. “He is well regarded by client and industry colleagues, and brings to us deep relationships within the US retail and wholesale communities.”
